Volunteer – Langston Bar Association Gala
February 2022

  • Verify people’s identifications and vaccination records to ensure we have a safe event.
  • Calming down reckless or belligerent patrons to ensure the place is fun.
  • Communicate with peers about what to expect.
  • ​Help with setting up the event.
  • Break down the venue at the end of the night.

Big Brother – Big Brother and Big Sisters of America
February 2014 –  March 2019

  • ​Mentor my “little brother” to teach him how to be a well-rounded individual who people look to for advice and representation.
  • Be a trustworthy person they can turn to for fun and advice.
  • Help them with homework, schoolwork, or personal ideas they want to execute.
  • Plan out memorable and entertaining activities.
  • Attend various cultural and communal events highlighting social diversity.

Volunteer – March for Dreamers
September 2017 

  • Took photographs of the event.
  • Controlled the crowd for easy maneuverability.
  • Communicated with protesters about where to go and what not to do.
  • Started and encouraged selected chants.

Meal Courier – Meals on Wheels
​May 2014 – December 2014

  • Responsible for delivering meals to those who can’t leave their home bound.
  • Report what happened on the trip and if someone didn’t get their meal.
  • Talk with the client if they need someone to talk to or call for assistance were they in trouble.
